How far will the smartphones go and improving our lives, the amount of gadgets we carry and the convenience of a one-stop do-it-all electronic?
From checkin-in to places, sharing ins and outs of our personal and business life, we are only at the beginning of the smartphone-journey.
"Imagine pointing your smartphone at the colosseum in Rome and it returning information about the greatest gladiator battle, or pointing your smartphone at the Sydney Harbour Bridge and learning how it was created or getting information on a treasure hunt through Sydney?''
Who is to say this won't be possible?
By including a chip or a QR Code in an item, we could potentially send and receive data of any kind: text, links, pictures, contact info, etc.
One of our favorite technologies made extremely popular in the 2011 is the QR Code, which has the advantage of costing close to nothing, as there is not special equipment necessary for printing them, making it the most accessible way of merging offline marketing with online marketing. All you need is a smartphone, scan the luggage tag and voila, the owner's information will be accessed, or a phone call made or an email sent t o the owner, whatever method of notification meant to be used by the company/owner will be made, and hopefully the bag will be on its way back to you..
